Tessa McMillan founded Presidio Prints from a lifelong love of painting and a desire to live a colorful life. Her heart and home are rooted in the Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco, where views of Alcatraz Island stretch beyond cypress-lined hills and historic homes. This landscape informs her collections.
OUR STORY
Presidio Prints was born out of a desire to bring the vibrancy of nature into people’s homes. Tessa’s decision to raise her family in the natural surroundings of the Presidio National Park has allowed her to spend the last two decades observing and painting its forests and beaches outside her doorstep.
That curiosity led her to transform her paintings into thoughtfully designed patterns, printed on high-quality, sustainable linen. Rooted in bold hues and intentional design, the collection has grown into fabrics made to brighten everyday spaces and spark joy in the smallest details.
Material choice is central to the process. Presidio Prints works with Belgian linen, a natural fiber derived from flax, known for its durability, breathability, and lower environmental impact. Requiring fewer resources to cultivate and designed to last, linen offers a more responsible foundation that softens beautifully over time and reflects a commitment to longevity over excess.
